Orawan Prasartwuth is a senior lecturer teaching in Musculoskeletal Physical Therapy at Chiang Mai University. She completed her PhD in Biomedical Science, University of Sydney, Australia in 2006. Her research focuses on the neural control mechanisms during fatigue in eccentric exercise.  She has experienced in mentoring graduate students in the topics as follows:

  1. Kicking in Taekwondo athletes by using electromyography (EMG), force transducer for kinetic data and electro-goniometer for kinematic data.
  2. Running parameters such as cadence, pace, ground contact time, heart rate, stride length, etc in runners by using fitness watch and accelerometer.
  3. Shoulder stabilizing exercise in adhesive capsulitis patients.
  4. Hip protector in elderly population for improving their healthy life span.
  5. Eccentric exercise to Achilles tendon using ultrasound imaging.
